As discussed previously in this group, and mentioned in this thread (by 
Dave Althoff), you should be able to get the GS and Mac OS X talking by 
enabling AppleTalk File Sharing using the Sharepoints program (and 
SysPrefs pane) - see

Mac OS X by default publicises servers via AppleTalk and TCP/IP, but 
only allows connections over TCP/IP. enabling AppleTalk on the server 
should let the GS login.

My Apple //e Workstation Card arrived yesterday (woo-hoo!), and I'm just 
itching for the time to hook my //e, my IIgs and my Asante LocalTalk to 
Ethernet bridge up to my Ethernet network to see how it all connects to 
our OS 9 and OS X boxes. I will certainly post info once I've done that.
