If you replace the fuse what happens?  Could it be the fuse got old and just
blew???

Try unplugging the input to the High-Output Transformer and see if the fuse
blows again.  If the fuse doesn't blow, then unplug the hi-voltage lead from
the CRT and plug the input to the HOT back in and see what happens...

I've repaired many a device with the "shotgunning" method of
troubleshooting.
