No they didn't. IBM and MS were around before the

This should have been #3. DUH. Read again more closely.
I said MS running on IBM compatibles. Altogether, not separately.
Of course no one computer maker has 95%, but the IBM compats.,
along with MS and other software writers do. Case in point, how
many references would you like, then I'll post them.
