I do it via <http://www.no-ip.com/> although I generally am not running a webserver. Usually only access
to filesharing, ssh or Timbuktu when I'm gone. You can download a
program that will run every so often and make certain your IP address is
current with No-IP's system. Currently if you go to buchner.zapto.org
you should get the default web page served up by OS X from my G3
connecting through my router. I suppose I could be like Sheldon and set
up my Quadra 650 as the web server, but the drain on system resources
stays quite low, even when someone's downloading a large file that I set
up be to accessed through http. Usually stays under .2% of processor
time with occasional bumps up to 1%. But it'd probably be generally
safer to run it on the 650...less of a security risk as I'd be running
Mac OS 8.1 on it. But I try to make certain everything stays up to date
on the G3 or the connectivity stays off if there's a long term no-fix...

Now, my IP address may be listed as being dynamic, but it hasn't changed
since my router booted up on 9/30/2003 after a power outage. Road
Runner only seems to change it for me when I've been down for a while
because of something.
