I thought about that too, but I figured it wasn't good to
create a panic in the guy before he tried something simple.
Besides, I have hot-plugged all of my drives to a smart port
and the only thing that happens is that nothing happens, but
it is not a good idea to do it. Always power-down to connect
or disconnect any device.
