Probably .png... you can likely find a freeware/shareware utility that
will convert them to .gif

Photoshop would do it no problem (and you can even get a plug-in at
www.lazilong.com that allow you to work with a2 graphics formats), but I
seem to recall that PhotoDeluxe is pretty basic, so it might not support
oddball formats. You can always try copying the image to the clipboard
and pasting it into a new document. Works in most apps on Mac -- not
sure if the same is true for Windows.
