Yes, but the case is _very_ weak at the top edge of the back panel,
and is very easily broken near the case "latch" points, where the
metal backpanel concentrates the stress in the plastic. I view this as
a fundamental case design problem. I have had several Apple II's of
various flavors shipped to me, and the only breakage I have ever had
was at this weak spot on the platinum //e (both with and without the
numeric keypad).
