Re: Programming the Sprite Card (was NES - Apple Sprite card)

Hello Blake,

The card I refer to was presented by Steve Ciarcia in (now defunct) Byte magazine. The exact reference is as it follows:

High-Resolution Sprite-Oriented
Colour Graphics by Steven A. Ciarcia; page 57; August 1982.
Courtesy of:
Paul R. Santa-Maria
Monroe, Michigan USA

The card was sold by Micromint. Mine has no brand name etched on it so I think it's a clone of Steve's original design.

I'd like to get a copy of this article if someone still have this Byte issue (the cover illustration was showing turtles walking on a sheet of fanfold paper). Thanks!

Yves

The story so far with my attemps to program the Sprite Card:
First disappointment, I only get black and white pictures but I'm satisfied to see that old set of chips to actually work and respond to wathever data I write in registers or in the VRAM.

What is the name of this card? I have a review of this card, I believe, in an early Creative Computing magazine. I will scan in and post here soon if anyone would like.
