Re: The Internet-enabled Contiki Desktop OS

I'm looking at my Coleco Adam sitting underneath my Apple //e, and I'm
thinking he might get even more jealous...

What are your thoughts on a Z80 port... I've seen portable C compilers for
the PC that compile Z80 code (not cc65 obviously, sdcc), and C should be
fairly portable, but a Z80 isn't a 65xx chip...

If I had a serial card (for the Adam) or even a 5 1/4" IBM floppy (I have a
5 1/4" drive for the Adam), I'd volunteer to try to port it.. Not much of a
programmer, but my experience is with C...

Still, if no one else is willing, I'd try it. (Using an emulator for now..)
I'm thinking I could (assuming the processor issue isn't too major) get it
to work without serial I/O. (Like what you've had on the Vic-20)..

Interesting side note, if a Z80 port is viable, what would that mean for an
Apple II with a CPM card?? Run 2 versions? 6502 and Z80? What about some
of the other Z80 boxes out there???

Might be beyond me, but still interesting...
