A Z80 port of Contiki should definately be possible, given a good C
compiler. I don't know the current status of sdcc, but I have heard
that there have been problems with their Z80 target and the uIP TCP/IP
stack in the past. Those issues may very well have been resolved by
how, however.
Contiki already runs on other architectures than the 65xx family: x86,
68000, 6809 (I think).
Groepaz has been talking about a GameBoy version of Contiki, so there
are others who are interested in Z80 ports as well.
