Don't think it matters. The Zip disks I use were originally PC-formatted.
A pretty good approach is to format each Zip disk as three 32MB ProDOS
volumes. (With a RamFAST SCSI, I used ramfast.sys utils and did a
repartitioning, which takes about 30-40 seconds per disk.)
