I have no dinero, so the only cables are the cables I have. As for
downloading software, I've already got about 35 MB of disk images in
d:\emu on my 486/133. As for terminal software, I have Windows
Terminal, DOS Navigator Terminal and Awkward, and they all communicate
between my two PCs no problem.
Getting Linux is not feasible for me, unless someone has a
two-or-three-floppy mini-distro that doesn't rely on exact perfection
(Debian and Hed Rat hate me).

I have a 486SX/25 and a 486DX5/133.
The SX I got for $3, the DX5 for free.
That's all I have and it does what I need (except running Pole
Position, :E).
