You're kidding, right?
For all intents and purposes, CP/M was the first OS for microcomputers, and MS-DOS was nothing more than a knock off of CP/M.

NOW do you remember?

I can't imagine any class in any science that doesn't, however briefly, cover the history of the science.

Actually I've read alot about the old chips. I haven't actually ever had an OS class so maybe in the future someone will mention CP/M. I have heard about CP/M and know vaguely what it is.

Actually I hate to pull a Clinton on you but when I said "know" I meant "learn how to use" rather than "know the history of".
