Re: Prisoner 2

Yeah, I figured that one out (don't know why I thought of "in" but it
worked). Also, inside each of the rooms you use different keys to do the
same think (L,R,F,B = left, right, forward, back OR some rooms have W(est),
E(ast), N(orth), S(outh)... some have U(p) and D(own)... others have word
puzzles or guessing games or movement games. Extremely annoying that you
can't save at some point and have to do everything over if you end the game.

Also, there are things like "Get key" "Buy map", "Look" gives more info if
you have the map (I'm sure there's some words I haven't used yet, and if you
ever answer your number they put you into the flock and you have to start
the game over <sigh>. Of course my emulator was set too fast for this game
so the text it shows you to respond to ZIPS! by the screen and movement
games are shooting across too fast. Some rooms I'm not sure how to "win"
yet.

I take it the end of the game is when you get into the "care taker's"
office. Weird hint though, I got the key and got into a hallway, where it
now hints that I need a keyhole? I imagine I have to buy something to
simulate one.

Too bad there's no HELP to tell you which keyboard keys and words are valid.
The having to guess obscure combinations of different keys or words to do
the same thing is odd. I've gotten in and out of every room, some buy buying
or finding the right things (only some successfully, others I get booted
out). Actually found a key in the maze, so ESCing from it may not let you
finish the game <shrug>. Course I'd have to restart at a slower speed to try
again for some of the puzzles, then of course the rest of the game like page
loading slows down too much.

Been 15 years since I saw the game.. I HATE leaving things unfinished
<chuckle>. Still, I'm curious...
