Have not tried using an SSC in a IIgs. Probably, you should set the Slot
the card is in (most likely, Slot 2) to "Your Card" via the Control Panel.
Also, check to be sure the speed setting for ADT on the IIgs matches the Speed
setting on the PC under ADTwin. For testing, a good Speed setting is 9600 baud.

Instead of using the SSC, you could use the built-in IIgs modem serial
port and ADTgs. (Slot 2 would be set to "Modem Port".) ADTgs is just for
PC-->IIgs transfers; but, that's usually all you need to get enough software to
get a telecom program and do regular file transfers.
