Although this may not be true for all Apple II power supplies, most that
I have looked at can be converted simply between 115VAC and 220VAC
operation by changing a single connection inside the supply.
If you have had no experience soldering on printed circuit boards, I
wouldn't recommend learning with this project. ;-)
The place to look is inside the supply (natch), where the power wires
connect to the PC board. There is usually a "link"--a wire jumper--
connecting two pads above the board. Removing this link or moving
one end of it to another point on the board converts the supply to
220VAC. Sometimes it is marked in the silk screening, sometimes
not.
Be careful--or just get a different power supply or a voltage conversion
transformer (NOT a converter meant for resistive loads, like hair dryers).
