That's not exactly correct. Way back, I identified at least two distinct ROM revisions. One came with the original (larger) UDC and one was shipped with the later hardware. The original ROM DID support the Unidisk 3.5. I blew a copy and installed it on the newer board, whereupon the Unidisk worked there as well.
I wouldn't think that either would have a chance with the hard disk. Steve
