Well, I would imagine that 9.2.2 still supports floppies and supports
the 800K disks on it (at least on a Beige G3 with a built-in floppy, I
can't test this, the only Mac I have that'll run 9.2.2 doesn't have a
floppy.)

But, 9.2.2 does support ProDOS disk images. I could read/write to a
ProDOS disk image. Created an image with Disk Copy and was able to
format it as ProDOS. Was able to read all of the files with Bernie.

So, at this point would need someone with a Beige G3 to test ProDOS with
an actual floppy.

OTOH, Mac OS X wouldn't have anything to do with ProDOS, so I would say
that ProDOS support was dropped with OS X. However, there is a
Filesystems folder in the Library folder in the System folder. Inside
are the following files: ufs.fs, udf.fs, msdos.fs, hfs.fs, cddafs.fs,
cd9660.fs and the folder AppleShare, so I would imagine that someone
could write a ProDOS filesystem for OS X. Amazing how much it looks
like the FST folder in GS/OS...
