Re: [CSA2] ADT-GS Problem (Question)

Hello everyone,

I've gone over the CSA2FAQ and ADT's readmes, and I cannot figure out
why this is happening:

In attempting to transfer disks between my PC (PIII-650, Win2K/PC-DOS 7,
ADT-1.22 and ADTw-1.22, standard serial ports) and my IIgs (ROM03, ZipGS
9Mhz/32k, 4MB RAM, 5.25 and 3.5" disk drives, ADTgs-v.91, and more), the
transfer locks, with ADT-GS apparently reading the first block of
information. I've changed baud rates, serial ports on the PC, and even
null-modem cables (all of which work).

I've also tried the transfers with the ZipGS disabled, and the toggle for
Appletalk Delay set both ways. The only thing I haven't done is pull out an
Apple IIe with an SSC, and do it that way (I'd rather not).

Has anyone else had this problem, or have I missed something completely
obvious to an outsider? *grin*

Thank you,
Josef

PS: I have verified, using ProTerm and HyperTerminal, that the connection
works at all ProTerm-supported speeds between the two machines with any
cable I use. These include the ones supported by all ADTs that I have.

I take it you are transferring the files on the disk rather than the blocks of the disk... You are sending with ZMODEM from HyperTerminal? Did you make sure the data format you are sending is the same as you are expecting? I suggest a setting of 8-N-1. Also make sure you have enough hard drive space available.
