I have a Kaga RGB Vision II monitor which I use for my IIgs.

Try it. The connections for the III and IIgs are the same for all the
important pins, but you'll have an analogue output trying to drive a digital
input, it will probably look "funny", at best it will only give you eight
colours.

I originally used the monitor with a Taxan-Kaga RGB IIB card in a IIe, this
is an analogue RGB card though.

I never got the cable that connects the card to the back panel, or the cable
from there to the monitor, so I wired my own cables up to match the IIgs
monitor standard. When I got my IIgs I just plugged it in and it worked.

No, it's RGB only.

I came across a PDF of the manual for the card and/or monitor just two weeks
ago, unfortunately my web browser was only set to record the last 50 sites
in the history (I've changed it to 30 days now) and searching the internet I
can't find it again! It was on a site with quite a few PDFs of Apple II
peripheral manuals.
