This is a long shot:
If you:
1) have Linux on your PC
2) have a PC SCSI card
3) The HFS drive has a real apple partition table
Then you can:
1) place the HFS drive on the PC.
2) Boot linux.
3) Load the hfs drive "insmod hfs"
4) mount the hfs partition "mount -t hfs /dev/sdaXXX /mnt -o
fork=double"
5) Decompress your .ZIP file onto /mnt (if you have Linux, you probably
know how to do this).
6) unmount everything and place the HD back into the GS.
I have successfully transfer large amounts of data from my Mac LC-II
running Mac OS 7.5.3 to my Linux box using this method. I see no reason
why it should fail for a IIgs.
