Not free, but not too expensive either, AppleWorks GS should work, that's
what I use. Biggest file I've transfered was about 2 Meg., if you get too
many errors it quits (10, I think). Slower produces far less errors than
trying to push the limits.
400Meg though would be a challenge though at 9600/19200. How many days are
you going to be doing this ??? At 9600 it will take something like 5 days.
half that isn't much better.
Lastly I have to ask, what on earth could you do with a 400Mb file on a GS
anyway. Don't forget one of the key features of the Apple series was that
programmers were forced to make "smart" programs that fit in little
packages. If you've got a 400Mb file it must be written by a lazy PC
programmer, who has absolutely no respect for hard drive space :)
That's why a 500Mb Apple can fit every program ever needed on it, and a 20Gb
PC can only fit the next version of Windoze on it and no applications !
