You might be right; The AE RamExpress card worked for both the //c+ and
the ROM3/4 //c's
that had the expansion connector. (I much preferred the Z-RAM myself,
but that definitely
won't work in a //c+)

Works exactly like a Zip Chip, except that Apple licensed the technology
from zip and
added it to the //c+ as a 4mhz 65C02 with the Zip logic implemented in
gals. Something
to do with reliability concerns IIRC. 

I'm pretty sure the slot based Apple II memory card will work fine in
the //e accellerated,
although I've only ever tested this with Transwarps.
