You may use your SS card in any slot you'd like so long as the slot is set to
your card in the control panel and your software has been told which slot it is
in.

I have had multiple issues with my focus in slot 7, even with smaller media
(256M).  I can reformat it and it will come back, but eventually it has issues
again.

Ultimately I put it in my slot5 because I am using a 'super drive' controller
anyway, not the built in 3.5" controller.  BTW, slots availbe to the focus are
1, 2, 4, 5, & 6.

How to use your slots effectively for additional cards.
Slot 1 is available if not using the Printer port.  Slot 2 is available if not
using the Modem port.  Avoid Slot 3 for anything other than a video or
accellerator card.  Use Slot 4 only if using a Rom3 or else you loose the mouse,
exception is again the accelerator cards can use slot 4.  Use Slot 5 if you are
not using the built in Drive port with 3.5" drives.  Use Slot 6 if you are not
using the drive port with 5.25" drives.  Use Slot 7 if you are not using
Appletalk, except Focus drives seem to have an issue here.
