I guess I could see where people think that it is a tight click, there are
people on there who have know each other for years and years. It doesn't
matter where you are at, groups of friends form, there is no preventing
that. As far as rude responses go, I try to not be rude, but anytime you
type you run a high risk of being taken the wrong way.

You know I try and help every single person that has a problem, if I can. I
don't know nearly that much. But I do help some.
Please don't make blanket statements about a group of people, like below.
First of all this Quantum_Cat person doesn't hang out there, at least not
under that said name(I have no idea who it is or do I care). I go there for
Apple II Stuff not the insipid jokes about homosexuals that you claim are
the only thing that happens there.

As someone who attends chat regularly on Delphi A2 I can tell you that I
have never seen a single "crack-smoking-fag joke" In fact I don't think I
have ever even seen any of those three words mentioned. Somebody have a
grudge.

To me a click-y atmospehere would be a place I would feel unwelcome. Which
has never happened to me there. I started using Delphi about two years ago,
and about the only problem that I had was that everyone there seemed to know
each other.

Huh??? You must be easy to chase away.

So what if someone nay says something. You are going to let that stop you.
There are people who think that it would never happen. Prove them wrong.
Do it. I don't pretend to speak for anyone there, but they are individuals
and everyone has a different opinion on the matter. Some are usually more
vocal than others.

Must be why my head isn't hurting, I haven't heard much of that yet. Just a
bunch of twisted stories.

You know I don't know who Quantum_Cat is so I really can't say about that,
Stupid jokes are part of the fun of chat though. As far as mean jokes
go......I personally don't experience all these hate mongering comments that
you speak of, and I don't think that they have any part of chat(IMHO).
Like I said I don't claim to speak for or make excuses for anyone on Delphi.
They are all responsible for any actions that they make. I just find that
I have had no problems there, so I go there more often than I use
comp.sys.apple2.
I go to delphi because it is still GS friendly, because there is a healthy
library of nice updates and such, because 99% of the Posts don't spiral
down into some flame fest(even if the flame wars here are pretty tame now),
because I always get helpful answers(regardless of what Bob has said). I
think it is an asset to the Apple 2 Community. Everyone has their own
opinion I guess.
I guess we should be glad that Apple ][ can still invoke passions so
strongly after all these years......
