Until the IIgs, I'd say this is pretty true. I have had little trouble with
most of the A2 software I run. Much of the GS software is fairly
stable too as many of the bugs seem to be system related.
As for the PC, I use a gateway program to connect a small network
to the net. This program performs fine with Win 95 & 98 first
edition. When I upgraded the server to 98 second edition, all sorts
of weird things started happening.
