Ok...

SCSI card is set to pin #9, which should be SCSI ID 7

HD has been set to 0, 1, 2, 3, via external switch, 
also to ID 0 by removing external switch and manually jumpering the blocks...

Started GSOS 6.0 install, selected quit, launcher then allowed me to start 
advanced disk utility...

Partitioned the drive into two 32 meg partitions, calling them Quantum1 and 
Quantum two...

Proceeded with the install, everything went fine...

re-booted, and there are seven instances of Quantum1, and seven of Quantum2
(this verified by Prosel16, via booting from 3.5 drive)

same thing happens whether I use advanced disk utility, or Apple scsi 
utilities disk...

Now, repartitioned it, and went into Shrinkit, and chose to format slot 7, 
drive 1 and it worked...
(however, could not find drive 2 on slot 7)

Booted with GS OS 6.0 install, and installed to volume named Quantum1, created 
by Shrinkit...

This time it works...no multiple instances of drives...

However, I still only have one 32 meg partition, not two.

would like to know how to access/utilize the other 200+ megs on the hard 
drive...
(HFS, etc...)

also, WHY does it keep showing up as multiple drives when I partition it as 
two drives?
