Well, in the US Apple had a larger share of the school market. In
Canada they didn't do so well. When I first got to high school in
1981 the computer lab had one TRS-80 Model I and several Commodore PET
computers. Most of the schools on military bases used PETs or CBM
8032s.
That is, until the government decided to standardize the comptuers in
schools and picked the Icon (I have no idea if that is spelled right
because I never actually saw one of these computers).
