I have played Wraith to the end, too, and I have enjoyed it very much.
It offers much gameplay for $10. I have written a walkthrough for this
and many other roleplaying games, but I think Wraith is quite easy to
solve anyway. 

In fact, I am a very active computer rpg buyer and player ("Virtual
reality is for people who can't bear the real life - Henrik Gudat")
and I've solved more than one difficult dungeon. It may be interesting
to mention a few other rpg's by John Carmack here.

First, there is Shadowforge. It's a prequel to Wraith and small enough
to fit on 5.25". It has the same combat system but a much smaller
world which consists of a city and three dungeon levels. It was
published by Nite Owl on a 3.5" disk "journal" together with a few
other programs, but it is not longer available.

Second, there is Dark Designs. This is a trilogy of Wizardry-style 
rpg's which have similar graphics but are gs-specific and really
good! In fact, they are even more advanced than Wraith and they
send you through many dungeon and castle levels. These games have
an elaborate combat and magic system, auto-mapping and dozens of
different monsters. Awesome! The trilogy was published on SoftdiskGS
disk 9,12 and 17. Although you may find the disk images on several
pirate sites, I would really advise to buy the originals from SoftDisk
Publishing (they still sell them) - these game is worth the few
dollars for the three disks.

I hope this plug is not too much off-topic, but I have enjoyed the
other rpg's by John Carmack as much as Wraith itself.
