Printers & The IIGS (Was: Question For Scott G)

(The following is a more general question about printers and the IIGS...)

In the last week or so, I've seen several mentions online of how people
are using the Harmonie drivers with printers other than the old standby
HP DeskJet/LaserJet series...which I believe are the most common high
quality printers in use on the IIGS.

Those comments have gotten me wondering, and I would like to compile a
listing of printers that IIGS users have used successfully (or even
unsuccessfully, for that matter) with Harmonie.

I'm not really asking for a list of HP clones that support PCL3, but for
other types of printers...printers that you don't generally hear about
being used on a IIGS.

I know some of you use other types of computers, and so maybe some of
you have tried to connect your other printer from your other computer to
a IIGS.

Months ago, a friend bought an HP "DeskJet 820 Cse For Windows" and I
just had to connect it to the GS to see what would happen, which was
exactly nothing, as it turned out. But, I bet I'm not the only one who
has tried something like that ;-)

I of course need your help to develop a listing of which printers work
or don't work with the IIGS.

General questions that I'd like to get answers/feedback on are:

o What is the name and model of the printer?
o Which Harmonie drivers did you try, and which worked or didn't work?
o How well did it work?
o Does the printer work with ProDOS-8 software in general?
o Does it work with AppleWorks Classic?
o If so, which AW print driver did you use: built-in, from NAUG Printer
  disk, or did you set it up as a custom printer?
o Would you recommend your printer to other IIGS owners?

Please feel free to add any other pertinent information. And, thanks in
advance. Of course I will share the results...
