Well I thought this thread was about networking Apple IIs with Macs,
so ethernet is kinda out :P Localtalk is definitely slower than a
single-speed CD, and I think it's slower than a floppy too. Localtalk
runs at about 230Kbits/sec, theoretically around 29Kbytes/sec,
although I generally only see 20Kbytes/sec or so. A single-speed CD is
150Kbytes/sec, 7.5 times as fast. I don't know how fast a (800K) 3.5"
floppy is, but I'd guess around 40Kbytes/sec. (Much less if it's gotta
seek all over the disk)

Apple IIs are my favorite, but I'm not picky... I'll use anything
remotely resembling a computer :)
