CFG files tend to be configuration (i.e. preferences) files. They
are looked for in specific places by the program which created
them. In short, don't mess with them, leave them where they are, and
if they get lost from their creators, then let the creating program
recreate them.
Don't mess with your system folder unless you know what you're doing.
