Re: ][gs command shell...

There is a new shell system for ProDOS 8, Proton from Brian Campbell and
I just received the entire program system for both Apple II and IIGS
today in the mail from the author. As soon as I can archive it, I'll
make it available from the GS WorldView Proton folder, Ground Apple2
upload/1WSW folder and pending the authors written premission and
approval, I'll son be able to upload it to binaries, Marvin's Euro Apple
2 ftp site and the AOL Apple II archives library.

It's a copyrighted shareware release from the author - Brian Campbell
and per the information in the the documentation text file, all other
methods of distribution should be requested with written premission from
the author.

I also have a nifty little program (copyrighted shareware or freeware -
I forget which it's classified as) that's able to launch .EXE program
files that are within the platform format P16 and/or GS/OS. It's called
'Command COM' and is a GS/OS launchable application program. It came
with many, many other files and programs also - bundled (if I recall
correctly) as MSDOS UTILITIES or something like that name. I think the
entire archive can be found somewhere - within the P16 folder on Ground
Apple2 ftp site.

Let me know if you can't locate it and I'll see if I can hunt its exact
ftp site location - down for you!

Cheers And Happy Holidays!
Tom
