You were? Maybe I'm mis-remembering the speed of my assembly-ized version.
It has been a long time since I ran it.

It's sitting on my hard drive at the moment, but alas I don't have an
Internet connection at home yet so can't upload it (besides which, are there
still ISP's that provide shell accounts?). I guess I could mail you a
diskette if you were really eager to see it.

Yes, I should do that, particularly since the source code was written to
permit on-the-fly screen size changes. I may have replaced that code with
a hard-coded size to increase the speed a little.

Using solid colours would improve the rendering speed, but it kind of
defeats the purpose of the program :-)

Currently I'd have to type the program in by hand, but it's short enough
so I might just do it.
