The wavering screen might be caused by your System Saver fan motor. On my GS
at home I've got my original Apple RBG sitting on top of my System Saver wit
the monitor hooked up to the GS's RGB port, and a Sony SVGA monitor sitting
on my desktop on the right side of my computer & CD-ROM drive. With this
configuration I don't notice any problem at all, so apparently you don't have
to get very far from the source to clear it up. I wonder if a new System
Saver fan would help. Mine's gotten load with age anyway so maybe time's come
to replace it.
