True - but the quality of the image just plain bites. (Apple sold one, but
any of those old "game/TV" slide type switches should work.

the upgrade, last I heard, was still free of charge (maybe a shop charge,
but the chips etc are free).  And I'd say it's a good idea to get the
upgrade if you can.  I'd not heard of the requirement that you bring in
the Unidisk, but it
doesn't surprise me either.
