I also ran into an inconsistency using the Procyon replacement libraries.
A program that reads a binary file worked fine when run from the GNO
shell or directly from the Finder, but would report corrupted data when
run from the ORCA shell. (I checked to make sure I set the binary option
in the fopen call.) After I switched the ORCA libraries and relinked, the
program worked fine in all three environments.
What are the reasons that GNO has to provide its own versions of those
ORCA libraries?
Couldn't Jawaid and Mike Westerfield get together and release a single
version? (It seems like a lot of the early GNO-ORCA inconsistencies have
been resolved, so they must be on somewhat cordial terms... :^)
I purchased ORCA updates since the last GNO release, and wonder what Mike
may have fixed in his libraries, and which version I should be using.
