Probably De. 1.1993
If you want your dates to display properly, you'll have to change
AppleWorks' date format to "MM/DD/YY" instead of "Mon DD YYYY", using
"select standard settings for AppleWorks".
Alternatively, change your mask so that the first field can accept up
to three characters, either letters or numbers. Your date would then
display as Dec. 1.1993
If you want to get rid of the dots, use spaces or dashses instead.
With dashes, you would have a mask of:
###-$$-$$$$ (where # is Ctrl-A and $ is Ctrl-N)
The date will then display as
Dec- 1-1993
