Terminators have to be on the last device in the chain and on the card. If
the card has no terminators, and the cable from the card to the first drive is
fairly short, and you have termination problems, try setting terminators on
the first device in the chain, too.

They set the card's ID. Check your manual as to how that is encoded (I'd
guess, though, that there are 3 pairs of pins which represent a binary number
that is the ID).
