: Heheh I have all the hardware setup properly. My current problem is I
: don't know if any signals are being passed on the cable. I tried the
: hyperterm (winxp) as well as a dosbox but to no avail. I tested with
: my 2 comports but both fail to dump anything on the apple machine. I
: believe the adt manual mentions 6B for setting the speed to 300-- I
: suppose "6B" means I don't have to hit <enter>. I tried 19200 and 300
: for both of my serial ports and the 'apple serial card:' label remains
: the only thing on the apple terminal. The only thing I haven't tested
: is what I've initially tried to, which is test my serial ports. I have
: no disables in my bios. I'm thinking the best way now is to use
: something else other than windows. I'll try one more time...

The best test is to send over the file DOS.DMP,
with the following procedure:

1) set up a term program on the Windows Box to
send ascii with a .4 second delay

2) Go to the Apple II and type "IN#2"

3) Back to the Windows box and ascii send DOS.DMP

You should now see the file displaying on the Apple II's
screen. When complete, you can type "INIT,S6,D1" and you
will be formatting a DOS 3.3 disk.
