Regarding HFS. One thing that you brobably want to do is avoid having
extra large HFS volumes. This is due to the fact that HFS gets
horrably inneficient with larger volumes particularly when manipulating
small files (which seem to be relatively common in the Apple II
universe). I'm not sure whats the optimum volume size for HFS, but you
want to err on the small side.
