There might be patches available to fix this and I'm pretty sure I've
seen stuff listed for CM2100 but I've never looked into them.

If you can't find a patch to fix this, you might consider getting a
utility that will allow you to set up multiple versions of the
operating system on one hard drive and pick which one to start when
you boot.  This way you could have every version of the operating
system from System 1.x all the way up to System 6.0.1 on your hard
drive.  If you wanted to play CM2100, you just reboot and pick the OS
version that works with it and then launch it from that version of the
Finder.  The only problem with this is that I'm pretty sure
Finder.Data files can get messed up as their format changed between OS
versions.
