An old commercial Apple II program named Modem MGR worked very well in the
DOS 3.3 environment. It had a stable Zmodem long before even ProTERM did,
was very full-featured, and had optional extras such as workarounds for the
"missing" keys on the II+ keyboard. IMHO Modem MGR was the second best
telecom program for the Apple II (after ProTERM) by a very comfortable
margin.

Having said that, any ProDOS terminal software will do perfectly well for
you. If your target for the final disk is a DOS 3.3 environment, the program
Copy II+ does an excellent job of transferring files between ProDOS and DOS
3.3 disks.
