It's very much a case of irresistable force and immovable object. I know
when it's worth arguing with individuals and when it isn't. In this case,
pretty much everyone who ever going to agree with me already does, and
rehashing the same ground is not going to win over the nose-over-the-fence
types that infest the Apple II scene. I was simply venting; bigoted fools
frustrate me.
I formed my opinions of the psychology and politics of the Apple II
community quite a long time ago, and the current state of c.s.a2 et al shows
me that nothing has changed.
As a purely FYI type aside, the current state of (say) the CBM 64/128 scene
is still at least equally as "alive" as the II series. However, it's a
different breed of person in there. Perhaps I should say, less creationist
and more evolutionary?
