The AY-3-8910 is the Programmable Sound Generator (PSG) IC used on the
Mockingboard series of sound cards. (The 6522 is an interface IC). I have no
information about any Mockingboard with three of the PSG chips. Two is the
usual number (for 3 voices per channel).
Some Mockingboards added a Speech IC. Earlier "Speech" (speech-only) and
"Sound-Speech" (3 tone voices + speech) models used the Votrax SC-01 Speech
Synthesizer IC. Later models which included speech used the SSI-263.
If you actually have 3 PSG IC's on your board it may be that you have a
user-modified Mockingboard. Or, you may have an unknown version or a
Mockingboard-like card produced by someone other than Sweet Micro Systems. (You
could examine the card for some indication of the maker etched somewhere on
it.)
In any case, there is a good chance that your card is compatible with the
"Sound II" and "A" models of Mockingboard-- there would be little point in
producing such a card were it not at Mockingboard-compatible.
For more information see Mary 'Laserdog' Sauer's scan of the Mockingboard
