     One thing to make sure about is your SCSI hardware. If the only device
attached is a Zip Drive, then the source for SCSI Termination Power would need to
be your SCSI interface card.

     Normally, the Apple High Speed SCSI card does not supply Termination Power.
There is a fairly simple mod to do this by Dan Brown and Harold Hislop (see
http://home.swbell.net/rubywand/Csa2HDNSCSI.html#018). If your HSS card does not
seem to have such a modification, that may be the source of your problems.
