Re: SCSI disks for GS?

I take it back. After further testing and major problems, the drive just
will not work with my Ramfast Rev d, rev c, or my Apple Hi-Speed SCSI
card. It seems to work at first, then the computer will lock up.

When I first attempted hooking a newer scsi Quantum drive onto my existing
quantum with a RamFAST 3.01 rev D board, I had very similar symptoms. The
problem was with improper termination. The old quantum had internal
termination, as did the new one. The resistor packs were in the wrong
way on the end drive. (They were of course removed on the middle one.)
The RamFAST usually gave me a 0D error code, which I believe is an
invalid bus state. This may or may not be the problem as you suggest in
your orignal message. Depending on your termination method, check that
system is correct. On my system, the problem was intermittent as well.

This may not give you much additional information, but then again it
might! Good luck.
