What card is this?

Trying to rig a //e so my daughter can use it to "chat" and leave her mother's Mac free for Mom ot make money on, I pulled a grappler + card from my brother-in-law's //e, essentially on the strength of somebody's recollection that it's a serial card. Can anybody tell me whether the grappler + is a serial or a parallel card? Or, if grappler + m,ade both, how can I tell which this one is? Also, anybody have a real cheap m0odem to sell, with any terminal software? Thanks.
