It _is_ an el-cheapo keyboard, compared to the keyboard it replaced.
I don't care much for its stiff feel (feels too much like the $25
junker that I picked up for my clone--should've sprung for something
better). It also makes two grievous design errors:
1) Esc is in the wrong place...it should be in the upper left corner.
That is its proper place; anything else is heresy.
2) Caps Lock and Ctrl are in the wrong places. Ctrl is used much more
often than Caps Lock, so it belongs on the home row, next to A.
I have a IIGS in a IIe case; I still use the IIe keyboard. Aside from
the lack of a numeric keypad (still need to install a socket on the
motherboard so I can plug my keypad back in), the layout of the IIe
keyboard is close to perfection...and the feel's fairly decent, too.
