   I bet you're trying to run this under either the Manager, or on a system
with very low memory. The Shadow Memory is a slightly faster way of writing
things to the SHR screen; virtually all games I know of require this for
speed. Unfortunately, The Manager eats this space, so you can't run a lot
of games (well, games that are nice enough to check to see if the screen
memory is allocated by someone else _first_); same thing with low-memory
systems.

   Solutions? Trash The Manager, or get more memory...
